#FOIL (as quoted in the #DailyNews) "The 26-page lawsuit argues that the “public has both a right and interest” in knowing about the work of the investigation, and that witness statements are “critical” to Cuomo’s defense in the two harassment complaints."

Overdue! I was selected by "Best of the Best Attorneys" for Top Criminal Defense Law Female Attorney 2023 List. I do not identify as a female. I think it would be unfair to take the spot from a well qualified female attorney so I must decline.

"McDevitt and his attorney, Cory Morris, later sued Suffolk County, the police department and several police officers....what McDevitt suffered was due to a pattern from the county...the ruling will now force federal monitoring of the department and oversight from the public."

#NY "bars everyone, including those with valid licenses, from carrying a gun at any place of worship...the FBI’s recent warning of credible threats against synagogues...was further evidence Judge Broderick needs to issue an order...immediately."

Religious observation with a (legal) firearm is now a felony in #NewYork: "...plaintiffs can neither exercise their fundamental right to self-defense in “places of worship or religious observation” nor seek review and redress from the Second Circuit..."

#NYS made #religiousobservance a felony here - "The New York State #JewishGunClub...specifically targets the section of the new gun laws that prohibits the carrying of concealed weapons in “sensitive locations,” including houses of worship."

#NYS "wants religious citizens to choose between...the right to practice #religion freely...and the right to carry a firearm....the #FirstAmendment rights of legal #gun owners, as well as the #SecondAmendment rights of religious people."

I am proud to challenge this law that criminalizes those legally carrying a firearm in churches, synagogues, and other places of worship..the..law is vague on what constitutes a “religious observance,” making it difficult to understand what is prohibited..

Flattening of the Curve (2 years later) - vaccination (whose only immunity seems to extend to its manufacturer) proof means you can unmask - I stand with Judge Jenny Rivera, who "refused to report her vaccination status or apply for an exemption"

DON'T SIGN! "after reaching a deal with the Legislature in late December, [she] stripped language from a bill that would have granted judges the power to decide if disclosing records would interfere with judicial proceedings or an ongoing investigation"

Contact your elected officials! Tell #Hochul DON'T SIGN! "A new bill that quietly passed both the #New York state Senate and Assembly could make it easier for police departments to withhold crucial public records again, The Post has learned." #FOIL

#FOIL "requiring agencies to provide specific reasons for denying particular data and disallowing wholesale denials based upon very narrow objections...That bill [repealing these recent changes] is now on...#Hochul’s desk...we urge her not to sign it"

"The reform law enacted last year, known as Senate Bill 6017, repealed the decades-old carve out of the Freedom of Information Law....The bill before Hochul would restore, expand and strengthen the ability to hide videos and the like."

There appears to be more focus on the Cuomo Sexual Harassment of a dozen women than the death of a dozen-thousand nursing home residents.

#COVID: "U.S. Court of Appeals for the #SecondCircuit issued an order temporarily exempting the 15 individually named plaintiffs from the end-of-month cutoff and establishing a new mechanism to have their #exemption claims heard."

I am honored and certain lines may blur but I must decline the acceptance of an award for top female attorney. I will not take this spot away from a qualified female attorney although I am flattered...or perhaps this is a pay to play scheme for attorney websites and ratings...

Amazon "has been facing public scrutiny over safety and working conditions of warehouse, delivery and retail gig workers in the United States after cases of COVID-19 were reported in some of its facilities. Amazon workers have also protested in other countries."

"Instacart workers went on strike in late March to demand the company implement appropriate safety measures and give them hazard pay. Matthew Telles is a member of the Gig Workers Collective, which organized the strike."
